LE TELEGRAMME, 23 January 1997 - Quimper - Eliane Faucon-Dumont
Henry Torgue is a poet. His music contains colors, atmospheres. joy, fire, sun and crystal mingle, creating a world of enchantment. Erik Satie, Nino Rota, Debussy and De Falla seem to influence the artist without ever concealing his personality and sensitivity. The piano sings like cascading water, rain and fire and the listener is absorbed into a genial improvisation in which everything has its place.
Blues, oranges, whites, the lights accentuate the different climates. In the interplay of light and dark, Manuel Bernard's brilliant arrangements complement the serenity imposed by the keyboard.

OUEST FRANCE, 30 January 1997 - Nantes - Jean Théfaine
PIANO PIANISSIM0
"A solo is the opposite of solitude", Henri Torgue remarked at one point, illustrating his claim with a burst of song, as finely chiselled as a haiku. /.../ In short, it is beautiful, limpid, intelligent and genuinely contemporary, without being irritating. Also to be enjoyed on record.

OUEST FRANCE, 23 January 1997 - Quimper - Daniel Morvan
Henry Torgue knows how to explore the popular sources of European music to feed the multiple, obsessive variations of his amorous dialogue with the piano. /... / His hands dance, lit as if for a film by his lighting engineer, and his piano becomes an extension of a waking dream, a tool for reverie.
